\nSaturday: From Brod Bay\, the track climbs steeply through mountain an
d silver beech forest\, passes under towering limestone bluffs (after abou
t 2 hours) and heads for the bush line. From here you have panoramic views
and it takes about another 45 minutes to walk to Luxmore Hut (1085 m). Ca
rpark to Luxmore Hut 5-6 hours. Maurice and Phyllis will be our friendly H
ut Wardens. Water is available at the hut but take your own cookers as no
gas. The hut will be booked a few days prior to the weekend\, dependent on
weather.
