Saturday 21st-Sunday 22nd December: Cloudy Peak (1526 metres)
Cloudy Peak is a high point in the Dunstan Mountains above Tarras. It provides fantastic views of the Upper Clutha plains and the peaks of the Lindis and St Bathans Ranges.
Saturday: drive to Ardgour; mountain bike part way/ walk the 15 km to the top of Cloudy Peak; stay Dunstan Downs Backpackers;
Sunday: Wether Range Conservation Area – 3 km/ 1 ½ hours to 1464 metre peak; or Hideaway Biv, Ahuriri Valley, depending on river level.
