Club nights are held at 7-30pm on the 2nd Monday of a month except December and January. Meetings are held at the North Otago Search and Rescue Headquarters (SAR), 1 Severn St Oamaru. Entrance is behind the Oamaru stone wall the first on the left from Thames Street.
Past trips are reported, coming trips are announced, and topics of interest are discussed.
Supper duty members please bring a bottle of milk and a tea-towel.

There is usually a guest speaker, a session to upskill or a Trip Planning meeting to put together the next 3 month of the Trip Programme.

You are welcome to come and discover more about our activities and how you can join us.
Up to the minute Club Activities and Meeting Details are also found on the Club Calendar, click on WHAT’S ON.

Guest Speaker

Our meetings usually include a guest speaker. We try to have speakers who have had private tramping trips or unique travel experiences either here or around the world. These talks are usually accompanied by photos or videos with the aid of the Smart TV.

We also have information nights on gear and equipment, and other specialty speakers to do with tramping and mountaineering.

Check the Whats On page for our next speaker.

Equipment

The Club has some resources available for members to use such as Wilderness magazines, books, and tramping gear.

We use the SAR Headquarters TV screen that a computer can be directly plugged into thus enabling us to show your photos from your memory stick.
