Clubnights
Club night is at 7.30 pm on the second Monday of each month except December and January. Meetings are held in the North Otago Search and Rescue Headquarters, 1 Severn Street. Entrance is the first on the left from the bottom of Severn Street. Potential members are welcome.
Trip Costs
Trip transport costs are shared among participants. Some trips involve additional accommodation and activity costs.
Trip Grading
E Up to 4 hours walking on tracks
M Up to 8 hours walking, reasonable fitness needed.
F Over 8 hours walking, usually rough terrain, a higher level of fitness and alpine equipment often needed.

Starting from near the Aviemore Dam, this walk will go past the ruins of the old Wharekuri Hotel, climb a ridge towards the St Mary’s Range, cross a gully and return by another ridge.

Walk into South Temple hut on Friday evening. Approach from South Temple and camp at tarns at Pt 1864. Early ascent of Mt Maitland and return the same way. Alternative through route to Ahuriri via Watson Stream if numbers permit. Possible seperate trip up the Ahuriri to meet Mt Maitland party.

From Ahuriri Base Hut, climb over the Dingle Saddle (1448m) to the Top Dingle Hut. Then walk down the Dingle Valley and climb over Mt Gladwish (1861m) to Birchwood.

Saturday: From Sawyers Creek Carpark, we will ventue up Freehold Creek track to tarn 1479m. Option for fitter members to go further.
Sunday: From Glen Lyon Rd, we will walk up the 4WD track onto Flanagan Pass Trail. Option to continue on to Suttons Face. Return same way.

- Millennium Walkway – Tobin’s Track (3-3.5 hours)
Travel Saturday morning, arriving Queenstown approximately 11am. Walks will start early afternoon. Stay at backpackers Saturday night.
